3M SF18-S Professional Scale Inhibitor System

Salt-free scale inhibitor for the cold water line. It inhibits scale and corrosion on heated surfaces, protecting boilers, water heaters, dishwashers and hot water and steam kitchen equipment. No electricity or drain connection needed, and the water's mineral content stays unchanged.

How it works

Sequestration technology: the cartridge adds a small amount of food-grade polyphosphate to the water. This keeps the calcium and magnesium salts that cause hardness in solution, so they do not deposit. It is most effective on the cold water line, from where it also protects hot water appliances.

It does not filter chlorine or sediment. We recommend using it with a pre-filter (AP055T or AP903), which protects the cartridge from clogging. Available as a complete set: Home Guard, Home Guard Pro.

Operation

Replace the cartridge every 10–12 months. Replacement cartridge: HF8-S.
